Finding out when March Break falls at your child's school is harder than it ought to be. The date is public. It is also sitting in a PDF, on a board website, behind three menus, in a layout drawn for a printer rather than a phone.
HeySchool.ca puts those dates somewhere you can actually read them, one page per board, with the original document alongside so you can check the transcription yourself.

The calendars cover 70 boards for 2026-2027. A board that runs separate elementary, secondary and quadmestered years has each of them here, because the last day of school is not the same date for all three.
How the calendars get here
Every date on this site was read off the board's own published calendar. Nothing is estimated, and nothing is copied from another site.
15 of them come from boards that file on the Ministry of Education's standard Ontario School Year Calendar form. That form is a table: a header block giving the first and last day of class, and a month grid where every non-teaching day carries a one-letter code. A script reads it by position, so what you see is the board's own figures rather than an interpretation of them.
The other 96 come from boards that design their own. Those were transcribed by hand, one board at a time, from the PDF each board published, then checked against the totals printed on that same document. If a board says it has seven PA days and the transcription has six, something is wrong and it gets read again.
Each calendar page carries the original document it came from, so you can compare the two without taking our word for it.

What this site is not
HeySchool.ca is independent. It is not run by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any school board, with EQAO, with the Fraser Institute, or with the Ontario Ministry of Education.
It is also not the authority on your child's school year. Boards move PA days, add snow days and revise calendars after they publish them. Where a date matters, check it against the board link on the page, or ask the school.
Ranking a school on test results measures one thing about it. It does not measure the teaching, the music programme, or whether your child will be happy there. The figures are here because they are hard to find, not because they settle anything.
Corrections
If a date here disagrees with your school, the school is right and this site is wrong. Tell us which board and which date and it will be fixed. The same goes for a school listed at the wrong address, in the wrong board, or twice.
Ontario is live now. Other provinces are being added as their boards' calendars are collected.
