This site does not track you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and nothing that follows you to another site. The rest of this page is the detail behind that sentence, including the one case where another company sees a request from you.
Nothing to sign up for
There is no login, no newsletter and no contact form. There is nowhere on this site to type your name, your email address or your child's school, so none of it is collected.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics: no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps, no A/B testing. Nothing is written to your browser's local storage either.
The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did.
The map, and how to avoid it
School and board pages can show a Google map of the address. It does not load with the page. You get a grey placeholder with a "Load map" button, and Google is sent nothing at all unless you press it.
Press it and your browser loads a map frame from Google, which at that point sees your IP address and the address being looked up, under Google's privacy policy rather than this one. If you never press it, Google is never involved. The written address above the map is always there, so you do not need the map to read it.
Calendar subscriptions
Subscribing to a calendar feed hands a URL on this site to your calendar app. That app then re-fetches the file on its own schedule, roughly weekly, which reaches our host as an ordinary request for a file. Nothing is sent back to us about your calendar, your device or anything else in it. Removing the subscription in your calendar app stops the requests.
Server logs
This is a set of static files served by a hosting company. Like any web host, it keeps ordinary request logs: IP address, time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. Those logs exist to keep the site running and to see what is breaking. They are not joined to anything else, not used to build a profile of you, and not sold or shared.
Links to other sites
Pages link out to school boards, to Google Maps for directions, and to the sources behind the figures. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy. We have no control over and no visibility into what they do.
Children
This site is about schools, not about students. It holds no information on any individual child, and because it collects nothing from visitors, it collects nothing from children either. School-level figures such as enrolment counts and EQAO results are published by Ontario in aggregate, with small counts suppressed at source.
If this changes
If analytics or anything else that watches visitors is ever added, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the date at the top will change with it.
