School buses and catchment areas

- Free morning and afternoon busing for every CSFP student living in the school's zone; eligibility follows the provincial transportation policy
- Routes
- Set by the board with each school and the bus company; the school office has the route and times
- Zones
- St. John's is split between École des Grands-Vents (kindergarten to Grade 4) and École Rocher-du-Nord (kindergarten and grades 5 to 12) along Kenmount Road, Freshwater Road and Harbour Drive; the Port-au-Port schools split routes 460 and 463
- Transfers
- Automatic on a change of address; other requests in writing to the direction générale, decided case by case
- Weather
- The school principal decides on closures and reaches families directly

Catchment maps

Nine trustees, two each for Labrador, Centre-Ouest and Avalon and three without a geographic seat, elected by the francophone community; three seats are vacant. The whole council can be reached through the board office.
