- Student Transportation Services of York Region (STSYR, schoolbuscity.com), the joint venture with the York Catholic board; late bus report and hotline 1-877-330-3001
- Who qualifies
- Students living more than 1.2 km from school in JK to Grade 3 and 1.6 km in grades 4 to 8; secondary students living more than 3.2 km from the nearest secondary school in an area not served by public transit, while those served by transit are not eligible
- Measurement
- From the edge of the student's residence to the closest access to the school property along pedestrian routes, roadways, municipal walkways and parks
- Weather
- Cancelled by 6 a.m. when roads are unsafe; since January 2026 STSYR pilots cancellation by service area, schools stay open, and a morning cancellation holds all day
