School buses and catchment areas

Transport, cepeo.on.ca ↗
Who runs it
The Consortium de transport scolaire d'Ottawa (CTSO) for schools in Ottawa, Pembroke, Kingston, Trenton and Kemptville; the Consortium de transport scolaire de l'Est (CTSE) for Prescott-Russell and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry
Who qualifies
Checked by address on each consortium's site; students in a program not offered at their sector school, or attending the school of their daycare's sector, are the main exceptions
Public transit
An eligible Ottawa secondary student can take a free PRESTO card for OC Transpo instead of a school bus
Weather
Cancelled when roads are unsafe; a morning cancellation cancels the afternoon too, and schools stay open unless the board says otherwise; alerts by text or email from the consortium
Walking
The board's Faites le reste à pied campaign publishes walking-time maps for the streets around each school
